About Me

My photo
My name is Nick Ford. I am a pastor in my home town of Stafford,Ct. I was raised by two amazing God loving parents, who always told me about how much Jesus loves me. I came to know Jesus as my personal savior when I was eight years old and for the next seven years God slowly worked on me until brought me to the point where I wanted to be all in for Jesus. So as a sophmore in high school I dedicated my life to Jesus and its been a wild ride! When I was a senior in high school God called me to ministry so when I graduated I attended Word of Life Bible Institute for one year. And was then called back home to work as a church intern in a local church in my home town. Following my internship year God brought me across town to another little church in need of a Youth Pastor.I have only been here for little over a year, but God has done some amazing things in me and through this ministry. We have a long way to go and a lot of growing to do. But God has blessed this Rural Youth Pastor, and I hope he'd use me to be a blessing to you too.

Neither to the left nor the right

It has been nearly a year since I last posted on this blog how time has flown. God you have done amazing things in my life this past year, it'll be a year I won't easily forget. But now we have entered the new year 2012, what will we make of it. God you tell us that from the moment we ask you to take our lives, to be our saviour we have opened a bank account in Heaven. An everything we do sits on the scales before our Heavenly King, the problem is not everything can be invested eternally.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." Matthew 6:19-20

their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. 1 Corinthians 3:13-15

We can either do something that matters or we can do things birthed out of selfish desires and we suffer loss. God wants this life to matter, whatever we do is pointless until we give it to him. Then it has meaning then it has worth, we were nothing until he weighted out a price for us. And that payment was worth His own blood!! Invest everything you have into the Kingdom this year, every moment can matter eternally if its His!

`Abba let this year, this day, this moment, be eternally significant. Do not let me waste another moment that you have given me. Every breath is a gift from you God, an I want every one of those precious gifts to keep. I'm not in the habit of throwing money away God, but that is what I do when I waste your gifts you give me. God let every moment today, every thought I have, every word I speak be for you, for your glory. Be praised today God, through my life. In the precious name of Jesus I say . Let it be (amen)!!!
